Elementary Model
Model: Elementary classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:45 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. Class sizes are small, with a maximum of 15 students per class.
During the school day, teachers cover core curriculum, including language arts, math, and STEAM, supporting what families teach at home. Students attend one specialist class per day in music, library, PE, and coding.
Recess/Lunch: Students have two 20-minute recesses per day on the elementary playground as well as a 20-minute scheduled lunch time. Students are able to purchase school lunch through Snoqualmie Elementary School.
Transportation: P3 elementary is located in portables behind Snoqualmie Elementary School. Students can ride the bus to their neighborhood school and then transfer to a bus to take them to Snoqualmie Elementary School
State Testing: All students will participate in state and district assessments, including WaKIDS, Acadience, STAR, Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA), and Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS).
Counseling: P3 students work with the SES counselor and nurse and a district social worker.
Individual Needs: Students who need specially designed instruction and support services can access those through P3 in many cases. Families work with our P3 special education teacher to schedule these supports. P3 teachers implement accommodations and modifications to their instruction as specified on the student’s IEP.
